The Championship is Challenge Family’s flagship middle-distance triathlon event, where top professional and age-group athletes from around the world qualify to race for the ultimate title of Champion of The Championship.

Slovakia is a stunning country packed full of history, adventure, and spectacular scenery in the heart of Europe. It boasts 180 castles and 425 châteaux, alongside no less than 20 UNESCO heritage sites including Banská Štiavnica, wooden churches, natural caves, and the preserved medieval town of Bardejov.
The 2km swim is in the Danube Canal with its clear, fresh water and great spectator vantage points, running adjacent to the x-bionic sphere resort. The 80km ride is fast and flat on closed roads and is deceptively challenging, especially in the windy, exposed areas – be prepared to hold the aero position for the full 80km with no respite. The 18km run is entirely within the x-bionic sphere resort and again, while flat, is tough with no less than four different surfaces under foot – grass, sand, tarmac and cobbles before finishing in the giant arena.
