The Dudhsagar Ultra Trail 2026 takes runners deep into the heart of Goa's Western Ghats, offering an unforgettable trail running experience through dense forests, jeep trails, plantations, and one of India's most iconic waterfalls.
Located on the Mandovi River near the Goa–Karnataka border, Dudhsagar Waterfall is a spectacular four-tiered cascade and one of the country's tallest and most recognisable waterfalls. Its name, meaning "Sea of Milk," comes from the milky white appearance of the water as it crashes over the rocky cliffs. Beyond Goa's famous beaches lies a completely different landscape: the trails around Mollem National Park and the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary showcase lush forests, rolling hills, and pristine wilderness, making this a unique destination trail race.
The Legend of Dudhsagar: According to local folklore, a princess would bathe in a nearby lake while her attendants carried a jug of milk. One day, when a prince unexpectedly approached, the attendants poured the milk into the water to shield the princess from view, inspiring the name Dudhsagar ("Sea of Milk").
