IRONMAN 70.3 Elsinore is a fusion of Danish culture and nature staged near the legendary 15th century Kronborg Castle. Featuring an iconic race start marked by the firing of an old cannon on the harbor front, the course takes athletes from the harbor swim through the woodlands, green landscapes of Denmark, and stunning architecture of Elsinore city center.
Located just a short drive from Copenhagen, Elsinore delights athletes and visitors with cobblestone streets, Renaissance scenery, and rich historic surroundings.
Athletes must be 18 years of age on race day. Athletes who register less than 60 days before the race will not have personalized race materials (name on merchandise and bib) and will be assigned a bib number at Athlete Check-In. This event offers qualifying slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
Transition 1 is located at Grønnehave, close to the Culture Harbour and Kronborg Castle. Athletes enter following the blue carpet to collect their BLUE BIKE bag. Benches and a designated changing area are provided. Gear must be re-racked in the BLUE BIKE bag before proceeding to the bike area and exiting via the blue carpeted bike-out route.
Available Services: Toilets, changing area, pumps, water outlet, bike mechanic on race morning, marshalls, and penalty area.
Dismount before entering transition and follow the red carpet to rack your bike in your assigned spot. Proceed to the bag rack area to retrieve your RED RUN bag from the top row. Change into run gear, store bike equipment and helmet in the RED RUN bag, re-rack the bag, and proceed to the run exit.
Athletes registering within the first 90 days receive Flex90 benefits, including fee-free transfers to another IRONMAN 70.3 event within the same calendar year and region, or partial refunds. All transfer and refund requests must be submitted in writing at least 45 days prior to race day. Relay registrations are excluded.
