Location
City insight: Sandusky
Sandusky is a city in northern Ohio on Lake Erie, home of the Cedar Point amusement park, and a base for the Lake Erie islands. The climate is humid continental: summers (June to August) are warm, autumn is mild, winters (December to February) are cold and snowy, and spring is cool. Late spring to early autumn is the best time to race, with the lake warm enough for swimming in summer. It is reached by road from Cleveland and Toledo.
