Palmer Lake is a statutory town in El Paso County, Colorado, United States, with a population of 2,636 at the 2020 census. It was founded by General William Jackson Palmer in 1871 and is one of three Tri-Lakes communities between Denver and Colorado Springs on the Front Range. The climate is high-altitude, with sunny, dry days, cool nights and cold winters, so late spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
