Welcome to the 8th annual Lady at the Lake 8 hour and 4 hour race! This race will be held on the 1 mile trail loop around the beautiful Lake Trahlyta nestled at the base of Coosa and Blood mountains at Vogel State Park.
Run as many or as few laps as you please in 4 or 8 hours. Legend has it that Cherokee Indian Princess Trahlyta's beauty was so renowned that after refusing a warrior's marriage proposal he kidnapped her and held her captive for the remainder of her life.
Her dying wish was to be returned to the mountains that she so dearly loved. The warrior honored this one wish and returned her body to her beloved mountains. The lake is named for the beautiful Trahlyta and we pay homage to the Lady of the Lake. Proceeds will benefit Vogel State Park!
There will be an aid station at the start/finish that will have the typical aid station food (bananas, oranges, cookies, chips, candy, PB&J, Grilled Cheese, and more). Water, Gatorade, and Coke will be provided as well.
Please carry your own water bottle or hydration pack as this will be a cupless race.
Every year we pick 10 runners (5 men & 5 women) to represent Revolution Running at all our races. For the 2027 racing year we are going to raffle off the ten spots at this year’s Lady of the Lake race.

The race is held on a 1 mile trail loop around Lake Trahlyta at Vogel State Park. The trail is gently rolling and very runnable, made of hard pack pea gravel with some single track and a very short paved section. Runners complete as many laps as they can in 4 or 8 hours.
Blairsville is a city on the northern border of Georgia and the county seat of Union County. It was founded near the Nottely River, which was dammed in 1942 as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority project to form Lake Nottely. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot summers and cool winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
