Welcome to Hood Hundred, a 100-mile mountain trail run featuring much of Mt. Hood's most diverse and famous terrain.
Staged at Mt. Hood Meadows ski area, Hood Hundred combines trail running community spirit with Daybreak's professional event production. Runners are supported by a well-marked course, professional medical coverage (not volunteers), radio communications, amply stocked and staffed aid stations and a major staging venue with amenities.
Here at Hood Hundred we celebrate the sport of trail running, honor the mountain and celebrate each other's accomplishments under the volcano's summit at the finish line.
A free 3-day training weekend is held for registered runners on June 19, 20 & 21, 2026, covering most of the course across the three days around the summer solstice.
More details, including routes and GPX data files, will be posted on the Daybreak Racing website closer to the date.
As a no-fee experience, it includes the essentials: a daily morning greeting and orientation, water stations and first aid supplies along the route only.
Daybreak Racing presents well-supported Pacific NW trail running races, including Tillamook Burn, Gorge Waterfalls and Backcountry Rise.
Its goal is to share some of the area's most beautiful trails and reward your effort with friends, food, music and memories.
The 2026 Hood Hundred is a 2027 Western States qualifying race.
The full Cancellation Policy is on the Daybreak Racing website.
The race uses a crew-accessible lollipop-style course with 17,300' of ascent and 17,300' of descent.
Mount Hood is an active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range on the border between Clackamas and Hood River counties, about 50 miles east-southeast of Portland, Oregon, USA. At 11,249 feet, it is the highest mountain in Oregon. Its cool, wet Pacific Northwest climate means late summer and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
