The Naked Bavarian is a no/low swag (ultra)trail run at Blue Marsh Lake, Leesport, PA.
The idea is to create a race at a very affordable rate by omitting all the expensive goodies like expensive race shirts, flashy finisher medals or expensive rock band entertainment on the course.
Some high profile ultra's will cost you a few hundred dollars. We skip all the expensive add ons and focus on what really counts, having a good course, good aid station, good medical support and the chance to test your limits or race others.
Runners will receive a little German style finisher memento (tbd).
Top 3 overall and Top 3 age group 39&under, 40-49, 50-59 & 60 plus.

The course runs along the trails of Blue Marsh Lake, on the north side of the lake. It is a lollipop shape, and 40 mile runners complete it twice, with access to a dropbag partway through. The surface is a mix of single track trail, about 80%, and gravel roads, about 20%. The trails are not considered difficult by trail running standards, but there will be the occasional rock or root.
The average temp at the start is in the low 30ies. Average high is 45.
This race will take place even if there is snow on the trails (unless there are unusual circumstances and the snow is too deep to run).
This time of year the trails might either be snow covered, icy or muddy, which will increase difficulty quite a bit.
