The event takes place at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in beautiful Riverbend Park. This year is special as we honor the lost ones from September 11, 2011.
This is a low-key, low-stress event focused on community and love of Nature, with something for everyone.
This is a non-profit endeavor, and all proceeds beyond basic overhead go to benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.
There are no aid stations, so bring your own food, water, and fuel. Runners can use the large tiki hut with many tables or bring 10'x10' pop-up tents, and there is plenty of room to set up for the whole day.
There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Male and Female in each distance.
All 50K and 12-Hour runners get shirts and medals. The 50K and 12-Hour have a minimum cost to cover medals, awards, and shirts.
Fun Run participants pay a nominal fee covering a donation and medal, with an option to add a t-shirt to their registration. Their time is not tracked and they do not qualify for awards.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
There are no refunds. If a registrant cannot participate, their registration can be deferred to the following year. Forfeited registration fees are submitted as a direct donation to the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.
The course is a loop along the tranquil Loxahatchee River over gravel trails, including a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail, through the oaks and cabbage palms. Runners may spot deer, turkey, turtles, raccoons, and many birds along the way. The 12-Hour runners complete as many Riverbend Loops as they can within the timeframe, transferring to the Picnic Island Loop after 6PM. The 50K combines Picnic Island Loops with Riverbend Loops.
Jupiter is the northernmost town in Palm Beach County, Florida, on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Loxahatchee River. It lies about 15 miles north of West Palm Beach and 84 miles north of Miami. Summers are hot and humid with afternoon storms, so the milder winter and early spring months are the best seasons to race.
