Welcome to Heart of Cahaba Trail Daze, a brand-new Zombie Trail Races event and our most ambitious weekend yet.
Whether you’re running your first trail race, chasing your longest run, or working toward 100 miles and beyond, there’s a place for you here.
Bring your tent, canopy, chairs, and crew! Set up around the horseshoe near the start/finish area and become part of our weekend trail village.
Return every lap to refuel, change gear, rest, and hear your people cheer you back onto the trail.
Follow race staff directions when setting up. Keep the course, timing area, aid station, and emergency access routes clear.
The central start/finish aid station is the hub of the weekend. Access aid, your crew, and personal supplies every lap.
All times are Central Time.

Expect the original artwork and quality swag ZTR is known for: a custom event T-shirt, stickers featuring our psychedelic Trail Daze artwork, and finisher medals or buckles based on your race and achievement.
We’re putting the same care into what you take home as we put into your time on the trails.
Follow designated parking instructions and race staff directions. Keep roads and access points clear.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
All registrations are final. No refunds will be issued.
The course is an approximately 3.1-mile wooded loop with roughly 150 feet of elevation gain and loss per lap. Each lap returns runners to the start/finish area, central aid station, personal supplies, and crew. Only full laps completed within the race's time limit count, and partial laps do not count.
Our first relay brings a team element to the ZTR experience! Teams of 2–5 runners share approximately 50K, with 10 hours to finish.
One teammate runs at a time, with exchanges at the start/finish area. Bring your headlamps and spend the night trading laps and cheering each other on!
A headlamp or reliable running light is required after dark. Bring backup lighting and enough battery power for your overnight hours.
Helena is the capital city of Montana and the county seat of Lewis and Clark County, with 32,091 residents at the 2020 census. It began as a gold camp during the Montana gold rush in 1864. Winters are long and cold while summers are short and dry, so summer and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
