We are excited to bring this race back for its third year. It runs through the beautiful trails of Lake Bistineau State Park.
The Start/Finish area is at Pavilion 1 at the Boat Launch, on the western shore of Lake Bistineau.
Lodging is available through Lake Bistineau State Park.
All participants receive a Dri-Fit moisture-wicking race shirt, a Speed Cup, a bib belt and swag for all distances. 100 Mile participants also receive a 100 Mile jacket.
The Start/Finish aid station is stocked with bacon, PB&J, chips, cookies, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, soda, water, ice, electrolytes and more.
Red Beans and Rice is served after you cross the finish line. Vegan options will also be available, and more details will be announced at a later date.
T-shirt, jacket and swag deadline: February 14. Sign up by February 14 to guarantee your race swag on Race Day. If you register after February 14, you will still receive your swag, but it may not be available on Race Day, and items ordered after the deadline may arrive after the event.
The park offers scenic views, upland mixed hardwood forests, open waters and stands of cypress and tupelo trees. Visitors can enjoy two boat launches, hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, camping, cabins and fishing. Anglers can catch black crappie, largemouth bass, yellow bass, catfish, bluegill and redear sunfish, beginning in January with the yo-yo season.
Lake Bistineau dates back more than 200 years. In 1800, several thousand acres were flooded after a massive log jam formed in the Red River. In 1935, a permanent dam was built across Loggy Bayou, creating the lake known today, and it has since been enlarged.
The reservoir now covers approximately 26.9 square miles, with an average depth of seven feet and a maximum depth of 25 feet.
Area 1, in the main section of the park, includes cabins and a group camp. Picnicking along the lake is popular, with numerous sites featuring tables, grills and nearby restrooms, and several picnic pavilions are available for larger groups. The park’s trail system includes nearly 10 miles of woodland trails and an 11-mile canoe trail.
Top awards will be presented by Richter’s Design.
Eligibility proof must be provided within 24 hours after registration.
Pacers are allowed for all distances and may use all aid stations.

Doyline is a village in southwestern Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana and is part of the Minden Micropolitan Statistical Area. The HBO series True Blood filmed a scene in the village. The climate is humid subtropical, with long, hot, humid summers and mild winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
