The trails at Enterprise South Nature Park are the venue for this one-loop 50K and one-loop 25K trail race.
This nature park includes 100 concrete TNT storage bunkers remaining from the days the park was a part of the U.S. Army munitions manufacturing facility, and the race course runs through one of these bunkers at mile 17.
The 2800 acres of heavily wooded, mostly undisturbed terrain are home to turkeys, deer, hawks, coyotes, raccoons and various reptiles.
One of five amazing aid stations with a wide choice of snacks and drinks to help keep you fueled for the task at hand.
In addition to trails, the park hosts picnic areas and restrooms, a dog park, a disc golf course, play areas for kids, pump tracks for biking and more.
The race starts on a half mile road section, then joins the wide and soft Poe Run trail. At 3 miles the course steps onto well maintained horse trails, with one of five aid stations. At 11 miles it jumps back onto pedestrian only trails for 5 non-technical miles, then transitions to mountain bike trails back at the start/finish at mile 16. The last 15 miles are rolling single-track trails.
