Woodpecker Six
About the race
The LoKeyz Trail Runners brings you the Woodpecker Six, a six hour endurance run this November.
It is a low key race that tests how many miles you can run in the 6 hour format. Run and walk as much or as little as you would like.
Course direction changes every two hours so you can enjoy the beauty of the trail in both directions. It is a great opportunity to run further and/or longer than you ever have thought possible.
Food, shirt and awards
- Generous amounts of hearty hot aid station foods and tasty warm and cold beverages at the start/finish line
- Long sleeve race shirt
- Special awards to runners who complete 24 loops or more
Drop bags and staging
Woodpecker lodge will have available space inside the heated lodge for a runner drop bag. The lodge has ample space outdoors to use for a canopy and staging area.

Any additional funds will be donated to the Pinicon Ridge Park to use for trail improvements.
The course
The course is a trail loop inside Pinicon Ridge Park. The loop is hilly and heavily wooded, with two large climbs and multiple stairs mostly on woodland trails. Course direction changes every two hours.
Weather and rules
This is Iowa so come prepared for all seasons, race will go on rain or snow.
