Welcome to the Eagle Up Ultra. Unofficially the world's largest 24-hour ultra, held at St. Helena Park in Historic Downtown Canal Fulton, OH.
The race began 10 years ago and has become one of the largest 24-hour races worldwide. Team RWB is the race charity, and a portion of every registration is donated to it.
Over the years, runners, many of them veterans, and many Team RWB members have come from over 40 states and 3 countries.
Lockport Brewery is providing the beer again this year. Each runner receives one free beer with their entry. Crew, family, friends and runners can purchase additional beer. Pint glasses with the Eagle Up Ultra logo are also available for purchase.
Crew may set up anywhere within St. Helena Park to aid their runners. Crew cannot take food from the aid station. Lockport beer is available for purchase.
There is one main aid station at the pavilion in the park. It offers a wide selection of food, including sweet and salty snacks, fruit and hot food later in the day.
Only runners and their pacers may be in the aid station area. Once you complete your distance, please do not linger there, as other runners are still coming in and out. Relay runners should not wait for their teammates to finish their loop in the aid station area.
Water is also available along the course at approximately mile 1, mile 2.5 and mile 4.
Finishing medals and buckles are presented to runners immediately upon completing their chosen distance.
There are no age group awards.
This year's duck race is a fundraiser for the veterans charity Iron Resistance Foundation.
Rubber ducks are available to purchase when you register or at the event. Each duck has a number, and your name is assigned to that number, making it your duck. At a time to be determined during the race, all the ducks are dumped into the river from the Market St bridge and race down the river (about 400 ft) close to the park entrance.
The first duck to the finish line wins, and its number's owner receives a prize (not yet determined).
Pacers may join their runner at any time after the runner has completed their 2nd loop. Only one pacer may run with a runner at a time. No pacer registration is required.
Pacers may use aid station food and drink only while they are pacing.
A 25K is back again this year. It is a good option for friends or family who want to run some miles and enjoy the race atmosphere without running too far.
25K registered runners cannot change or bump up their distance, unlike all other distances.
Any runner (except 25K) can run longer or shorter than their registered distance and will be a finisher for whatever distance they complete. Please let the timer know when you finish what distance you completed. (especially if you switched distances)
The course is a 5 mile loop starting in St Heleana park in Canal Fulton and running south on the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath to Butterbridge Rd. It then returns on The Olde Muskingum Trail to the park, where runners go right through the camping area to complete the loop. Road shoes are fine for this race.
Canal Fulton is a city in western Stark County, Ohio, lying along the Tuscarawas River. It had a population of 5,325 at the 2020 census and is part of the Canton–Massillon metropolitan area. Winters are cold and summers warm and humid, so spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
