Outlaw Holkham Aquabike takes place as part of the Outlaw Half Holkham Weekend at the historic Holkham Estate in Norfolk. The event features a 1.2 mile swim and a 56 mile bike course following the same swim and bike route as the Outlaw Holkham Half.
Your race finish time will be recorded when you cross the timing mat upon returning to transition after the bike leg. Once your bike is racked, you can walk, jog, or run to the finish carpet to collect your medal.
Event Details:
The 1.2 mile swim is a single loop in the private lake at Holkham Estate around the island. The 56 mile bike course is a single-lap rolling route through North Norfolk countryside and coastal roads, passing Sandringham Estate and climbing up to the Obelisk before returning to transition.
The 1.2 mile swim takes place in the stunning private lake at Holkham Estate, set against the impressive backdrop of Holkham Hall. Athletes will start in a time trial format, completing a single loop that takes them to the far end of the lake, around the island, and back to the Transition area positioned directly in front of the Hall.
The 56 mile bike course takes you out of the estate onto a single-lap, undulating route through some of the most beautiful countryside and coastal roads North Norfolk has to offer, including past Sandringham Estate. Best described as rolling, it isn’t flat, but there are no steep gradients to contend with. On your return, you'll climb up to the Obelisk, where you can admire the stunning views before descending into transition.
