What do i need to know for race day?

Before arriving on-site: Your individual start time will be available online approximately 3 days before the event. Please visit the event page and click “Start List” to locate your start time. Make sure you have downloaded your ticket QR code/barcode, which can be found via your HYROX account. If the event offers early registration, you’ll find the information on the event page. Technical briefings: For single and double divisions, please watch the Technical Briefing Videos. For the relay division, there will be a mandatory on-site briefing. There is a charge for lost timing chips, so please ensure it is returned after your race. 3. Race number. Your race number shows your start time and position in the wave. Bag drop, changing rooms, showers

For athletes, we provide a bag drop and changing rooms at every event, but unfortunately, no showers are available. Bag Drop Rules: Drop your bag off 45-60 minutes before your race, as there may be queues. Each athlete can bring one bag, no larger than a cabin-size bag. Please ensure everything fits inside your bag; loose items will not be accepted. Make sure your bag is securely closed and all liquids are tightly sealed. Keep any race essentials like your timing chip and energy gels with you, as you will not be able to keep going back to your bag once it has been dropped off. HYROX cannot accept responsibility for lost items. Unfortunately, we’re unable to store bags for spectators due to space limitations, so please plan accordingly.

How is my race time measured?

All participants wear a timing chip on their ankle, which is given at athlete registration. The race course, as well as all workouts, is tracked with timing technology, so that precise timing is guaranteed for each individual athlete. Your overall time and race splits can be found via our results and rankings page, where you can compare your race to other athletes across the globe and identify areas of improvement for your next race. Filter by your race, first/last name and your division.

Who controls compliance with the rules?

At each event, Head Judges share responsibility for the 8 workout stations and the running course, ensuring that the event runs smoothly and that competition standards are maintained. They are supported by judges who keep a close eye on the action at all times.

Is there a limit to complete the race?

No, there is no time limit to complete your HYROX race. Athletes will enter the course at staggered times for each division, making it difficult to track their position within your wave. This means there’s no pressure – take it at your own pace and focus on your personal performance and experience.

What do i do if i feel ill during my race?

You have the option to pull out of the race at any time. We have staff all along the course and at the different workout stations who will send medics to take care of you in case of an emergency.

Are spectators allowed?

Yes! Spectators can buy tickets via the event page (subject to availability). Children under 12 do not need a ticket but must be accompanied by an adult. Important: Spectator tickets are subject to availability, and tickets will not be available to purchase onsite. To avoid disappointment, please purchase in advance. Notice: There will be no official HYROX spectator ticket sale at All Inclusive Fitness HYROX Cologne, as the race is part of FIBO. Because Thursday and Friday are trade-visitor days, spectators attending on these days will need to purchase tickets through a ticket shop link that will be shared with all athletes competing on Thursday and Friday prior to the event. Spectators for Saturday and Sunday must purchase a regular FIBO ticket on the FIBO website.

Is there a bag drop for spectators?

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a bag drop for spectators; bag drop is for athletes only.

Do athletes need a spectator wristband?

For the 26/27 season, your athlete wristbands will give you access to the venue only on the day of your race. If you wish to enter the venue on any other day, you’ll need to purchase a spectator ticket via the event page. By making this change, we are creating more room for friends and family to support their athletes. This way, everyone gets the chance to celebrate those big moments together.

Are animals allowed at the event?

As much as we would like to make it possible, animals are not permitted in any of our venues – except for service animals (restrictions vary per location). Please reach out to your customer service team for confirmation.
