The 13th Edition of Ultra Fuego y Agua Nicaragua is a unique series of trail runs like no other. It is not going to be easy to make it to the finish line, and by saying this, we do not mean to scare you, but rather we want you to be as prepared as you can possibly be. You will have the opportunity to run around, up and down 2 volcanoes on a small island in Nicaragua.
Ometepe is located right in the middle of Lake Nicaragua, and it has all it needs for an epic run. The terrain includes dirt trail, sandy beach, paved road, and very technical single track trail, a chaotic web of trees, disappearing trail and mud. It also includes the ascent and descent to the Concepcion and Maderas volcanoes.
All races start and finish at Hotel Villa Paraiso on Playa Santo Domingo on Isla de Ometepe, Nicaragua.
Total elevation gain is over 6,400mts, and there are 5 distances to choose from.
The Gran Fondo de Ometepe 2026 offers exciting MTB / Gravel challenges, circumnavigating the entire island against the stunning backdrop of twin volcanoes, Concepcion and Maderas. The routes combine diverse terrains, including gravel paths, dirt trails, and picturesque countryside roads, ensuring a thrilling off-road experience. Cyclists can choose to tackle the route on gravel or mountain bikes.
