How the Winter Series works
- Run 9 races and/or 9 one mile runs for one low registration fee.
- Participants are assigned a race bib (or bibs) and must bring and wear it at each race they attend.
- Those running both the 1 mile and the main event are issued 2 bibs. Wear the correct bib for each event so your time is recorded.
- Series points are awarded at each race based on your age group placement. Age groups are based on your age as of 11/15/2026.
- Awards are presented at the final race based on placement points earned throughout the series. The more races you run, the better your chances of placing.
- Awards go to the top three males and top three females (based on series points) for the Mile and the Main Event in these age groups: 1-13; 14-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75+.
- Participation swag is available at the final race for those who run and/or volunteer at a minimum of 5 races during the series.
- Food, fun and awards follow the final race.

Location
City insight: York
York is a city and the county seat of York County in South Central Pennsylvania, with a 2020 census population of 44,800. Founded in 1741, it served as the temporary base for the Continental Congress from September 1777 to June 1778, when the Articles of Confederation were drafted. The climate is humid continental, with hot, humid summers and cold winters, so spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
