Faith that moves. Love that reaches. Feet that go.
Steadman Baptist Church 'Love in Motion 5K' is back! Last year, we had a great turn out, with many sponsors and runners aligning for our mission trip needs to Liberia. We are so thankful to you all.
This year, all proceeds will go towards Live 2540's November Match to help the children of Liberia and staff at Jesus Loves Me Children's Center. We invite you to come run, walk, or partner/donate to this wonderful cause.
Come chase that PR through the countryside or bring the family for a fun walk. We are praying for an amazing morning of worship, fellowship, and cardio.
Everyone who completes the 5K will receive a finisher medal. There will still be Age Group medals, but our sponsor has provide a FINISHER MEDAL to everyone who toes the line and crosses the finish, and completes the full 3.1 miles.
Church staff volunteers will watch kids on the playground during the race if a child registration form is filled out.
Start and finish lines at Steadman Baptist Church parking lot.
Registration is both online and in-person.
Early bird rates end Sunday, Nov. 8th, 11:59pm.
T-shirt cannot be guaranteed for regular registration.
Open to church members, their families, and the broader community.
Awards ceremony: recognize overall winners, age group finishers.
Rather than age group awards for the 1 Mile, all finishers will receive a FINISHER MEDAL.
The race will be electronically timed by Wire2WireRunning, a professional timing company using the same MyLaps equipment the Atlanta Track Club uses for the Peachtree Road Race.
After the race, stay around for mingling and connection, including prayer and testimonials about what the race means to the community.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
The race starts and finishes in the Steadman Baptist Church parking lot. The route rolls through small hills, passes a Christmas tree farm and pastures, and goes by Backwoods Steakhouse. Aid stations are at the parking lot and at the middle intersection, which runners pass three times during the race.
After the run, there will be a 2 loop FUN RUN around the parking lot of the church for the kids. Church staff volunteers will be on the playground with the kids.
This is a Rain-or-Shine event.
