Welcome to the Camp Croft 50K, 50M, and 100 Miler Race, a Mountaineer Rumble event, at Croft State Park, Spartanburg, SC.
It is a great distance for a first time trail race or to just join in the weekend fun.
50K and 50 Mile runners will receive a finishers medal noting their distance. 100 Mile finishers will receive a custom designed buckle for their accomplishment. All 50K, 50 Mile, and 100 Mile runners will have a choice of a campsite on Friday and Saturday night.
Campsite reservations are available through Croft State Park Campsite Rentals.
The route is a 10.05 mile loop that highlights the Fainforest Creek Connector and the Southside Trail Loop. Both trails have a nice mixture of flat sections, rolling hills, and smooth single track trail. Each loop has approximately 700 feet of elevation gain. 50K runners complete three loops, 50 mile runners complete five loops, and 100 mile runners complete ten loops. Each loop has one fully stocked aid station at the start/finish line and a water-gatorade station at mile 4.25 that may be manned throughout the event.
Spartanburg is a city in northwestern South Carolina, United States, and the county seat of Spartanburg County, nicknamed Sparkle City. It had a population of 38,732 at the 2020 census, making it the state's 11th-most populous city, and is home to Wofford College and Converse University. Summers are hot and humid and winters are mild, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
