Celebrate Veterans Day with our annual Freedom Run, offering a 5K, 10K, or Half-Marathon. Whether you are running for a personal best or walking with friends and family, we move together in gratitude for the Veterans who sacrificed to protect our freedom.
You can raise funds for a charity of your choice (optional). 100% of the net funds raised go to your cause of choice.
We keep things small, personal, and local, so every run feels less like a number and more like a memory. Whether it is a 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or virtual run, you get the warmth of a hometown event.
Spots sell out fast, and we close each wave when it fills. Once a wave sells out, you can choose the virtual run option or join the waitlist.
Timing is optional. Track your own time with Strava, RunKeeper, Nike Run, or a similar app, then submit it through our online form to get posted. You can also ask a coordinator to time you.
No timing chips are used.
No packet pickup is needed. Your swag ships to your door. Double-check your full US mailing address, including apartment number, when you register, because your shirt is sent to that address. Race bibs are handed out on race day.
Your shirt lands at your mailing address the week of your race.
Shipping may not arrive in time, so your shirt could arrive after race day. You are welcome to wear whatever you like and run with us anyway.
We send final participant info by the Wednesday before race day, with all details and course maps.
Running late? Jump in when you arrive. Coordinators stay on-site for 3 hours after the first wave. Times may change depending on the season, so check your participant info email.
Prefer to run on your own time? The Virtual Run includes a digital training pack. Run whenever and wherever, with any tracking device you like (optional), then send your results to [email protected] to claim your medal.
Want to put your business in front of our community? We would love to feature you as a sponsor.

Discover our charity initiatives on our website.
Do you have a mission that helps people around the world? We can help you fundraise at no cost to you.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
San Antonio is the second-most populous city in Texas, located in the southern part of the state and serving as the county seat of Bexar County. Its name, Spanish for Saint Anthony, was given by a Spanish expedition in 1691, and it had 1.43 million residents at the 2020 census. Summers are hot and humid with mild winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
