The Over The Hill Track Club (OTHTC) is a running and hiking club in Ridgecrest, CA. The club was first organized in 1973, and the first OTHTC High Desert Ultra was run in 1986.
As a 501(c)3 organization, the club uses the proceeds from the High Desert Ultra to benefit organizations in the community. Past proceeds have supported the Track and Cross Country teams of local secondary schools, the Sierra Amateur Radio Club, and many other organizations that provide vital services to the community.
We strive to put on a race with a family atmosphere.

All distances start and finish in the Cerro Coso Community College Gym parking lot. Bathrooms and showers are available in the gym from 5am to 5pm on race day.
Across the road is a large grassy area with shade trees and picnic tables, a good place for families to wait for their runners.

Ridgecrest is a city in Kern County, California, USA, along U.S. Route 395 in the Indian Wells Valley, next to the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. It is surrounded by four mountain ranges and is the third-largest city in Kern County. The desert climate brings very hot summers and mild winters, so late autumn through spring are the best seasons to race.
