The Winter Mixer is a snowshoe trail race that kicks off the TMR Bradbury Mountain Trail Race Season.
It is for runners who want to enjoy the Bradbury trails in their winter skin, with a mix of single and double-track trails and a few rolling hills.
The race keeps you moving while reminding you that it's cold out, and brings great running, great people and a trail community that keeps people coming back.
The top three overall male and female finishers will receive first choices from the prize table.
Additional prizes will be awarded through random drawings among the winners of each decade age group, giving runners across all age groups a chance to take home something special.
The majority of our prizes are generously donated by our wonderful sponsors, including Marathon Sports, Wicked Joe Organic Coffee, Lamey Wellehan Shoes and Prospect Mountain Furniture.
The winter race in the TMR Bradbury Mountain Trail Series is capped at 125 runners. When this number is reached, registration will close and no additional entries will be accepted.
We keep the races intentionally small to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants and because parking at Bradbury Mountain State Park is limited.
Bib pick-up/check-in: 9:00-9:45AM race day morning
The first 50 registered runners will receive custom running gloves, which will be distributed at bib pickup. You must be present to receive your gloves.
Trail Monster Running is a nonprofit organization. All organizers, including race directors, are unpaid volunteers who put on these races simply because we love trail running and the community that surrounds it.
Event proceeds go to equipment to make our races better, as well as local nonprofit organizations and charities related to the outdoors and trails, including such groups as Royal River Conservation Trust. Any leftover race gloves are donated to local homeless shelters.
The course is a mix of single and double-track trails with a few rolling hills, classic Bradbury terrain. Conditions are winter conditions and may be snowshoe, spikes or trail shoes depending on snow. The race is run on the Bradbury trails in Pownal.
Pownal is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, and part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford metropolitan area, with 1,566 residents at the 2020 census. The town is home to Bradbury Mountain State Park. Winters are cold and snowy and summers are mild, so late spring through early autumn are the best seasons to race.
