About the race
Join us for the annual Rock and Run for the Rescue 10K, 5K, and Dog Jog, all to benefit Rescue Garage.
This year's race starts and finishes inside the beautiful Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.
Auction items will be available for ticket purchase. All proceeds benefit Rescue Garage.
Race day amenities
Post-race food and swag will be available after the race.
Shirt cutoff and start times
- Shirt cutoff date: midnight, November 29, 2026.
- Race start times: 10K at 7:45 AM; 5K and 1-Mile Dog Jog at 8:00 AM.
Cancellation policy
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.

The race starts and finishes inside Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. The course takes runners out of the park along a gravel and grass path before continuing onto paved roads alongside the scenic Big Slough Canal and Reisterstown Road.

It was originally developed as part of the Port Charlotte project and was renamed North Port by a 1974 referendum. Summers are hot and humid with frequent afternoon storms, so the mild winter and early spring months are the best seasons to race.
