Run for Mental Health is a small, personal, local event for anyone who wants to run, walk or join virtually for someone on a difficult journey.
Each wave has a capped field, so you are never just a bib number.
All paces and ages are welcome, and those under 18 must run with a guardian. There is no gear to bring and no setup needed.
Timing is optional. Track your own time with Strava, RunKeeper, Nike Run or a similar app, then submit it through our online form to get posted, or ask a coordinator to time you.
No timing chips are used.
There is no packet pickup. Your swag ships to your door. Double-check your full U.S. mailing address, including apartment number, when you register, as your shirt is sent there.
Race bibs are handed out on race day.
Your shirt arrives at your mailing address the week of your race.
Shipping may not arrive in time, so your shirt could arrive after race day. You are welcome to wear whatever you like and run anyway.
We send final participant information by the Wednesday before race day, with all details and course maps.
After you register, use your confirmation number to reserve a wave.
Jump in when you arrive. Our coordinators stay on site for 3 hours after the first wave. Times may change depending on the season, so check your participant info email.
Prefer to run on your own time? The Virtual Run includes a digital training pack. Run whenever and wherever, with any tracking device you like (optional), then send your results to [email protected] to claim your medal.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
On New York Harbor at the southern tip of New York State, New York City is the most populous city in the United States. It is made up of five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. The climate is humid continental, with hot, humid summers and cold winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
