About the race
GCR is hosting the 13th Annual GCR Thanksgiving Race this year on Thanksgiving. The race benefits St. Matthew's House and the GCR Youth Development and Scholarship Fund.
Walkers are welcome for both the 1 mile walk and the 5K. If you cannot walk the full 5K, there is a turnaround for the mile.
Course open for 90 minutes.

Packet pickup
Pre-race packet pickup (recommended)
Tuesday 11/24 and Wednesday 11/25 at Naples on the Run, 20 10th St. S., Naples, FL 34102.
Hours: 11AM-4PM
Race day packet pickup (not recommended)
Please arrive no later than 6:00 AM if you have not yet received your race number and shirt.
- Pick up your packet at the race only from 6:00 AM to 7:25 AM.
- No day-of registration.
Kids races
Kids races are free but do NOT include a shirt. A parent must sign them up in order to agree to the waiver.
Kids receive a medal, likely from a past Thanksgiving Day GCR race.
Parking and awards
Parking is free, with multiple 4-story parking garages within 200 m of packet pickup.
- Shirts for all paid participants.
- Race medals for all finishers.
Canned food drive
We are collecting canned goods for St. Matthew's House. Please bring non-perishable items to packet pickup or to the registration area on race day.
The course
Start and course
The course starts on 5th Avenue and winds through downtown Naples.
- One official start at 7:30 AM.
- Walkers, strollers and dogs should start near the back. They will cross the official start line around 7:35 AM.
- Your chip time starts when you cross the official start line.
- The start line stays up for 10 minutes after "runners set, go!" and is then pulled.
