About the race
Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is proud to host the Mountain Lakes Turkey Trot for the third year, continuing a beloved Thanksgiving tradition made possible by the community members who established and supported it over the years.
Whether you are racing toward a personal best, walking with family, jogging alongside friends, or cheering from the sidelines, everyone has a place. Lace up your running shoes, bring your Thanksgiving spirit, and join us for a fun, festive morning.
The Mountain Lakes Turkey Trot is a USATF-sanctioned 5K for participants of all ages and abilities. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome. Children ages 2 and younger participate free.
Event amenities
- Participants who register by Monday, November 9 are guaranteed an event T-shirt.
- Festive race-day atmosphere with a DJ, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, and Thanksgiving fun for the entire community.

Race packets may be picked up at the start location on race morning, but advance packet pickup is strongly encouraged to avoid crowds and additional wait time.
