Beau Chene Country Club Turkey Trot Classic 1 Mile Fun Run and 5K
About the race
The 8th Annual Beau Chêne Country Club Turkey Trot Classic 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place on the morning of Wednesday, November 25th. Registration fees include a post-race party behind the clubhouse next to the Pavilion, with food, drinks, music and entertainment for the entire family.
Food includes an assortment of fresh fruits and Jambalaya. Drinks are provided by Beau Chene Country Club (water, tea and lemonade), Republic National Distributing Company (adult refreshments), Nola Brewery (more adult refreshments) and Abita Roasting (coffee). Activities for the kids will be available.
A food drive benefits the Northshore Food Bank of Covington. Everyone who brings 5 cans of food will be entered into a raffle to win Beau Chêne prizes.

- Early packet pickup: November 24th, 3:00 to 5:00 pm, at the Beau Chêne Clubhouse
- Race day packet pickup and race day registration: 8:30 to 9:30 am
Race benefits
The race benefits the Northshore Food Bank of Covington.
No refunds are given if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Refunds and virtual event
If weather prevents an on-site race, the race converts to a virtual race. In this case, no refunds are given and updated race information is sent to registrants.
The organizers reserve the right to cancel in extreme weather. In that case, there are no refunds; the entry fee is used as a donation.

The course
Race course
The 5K course winds through the live oak lined streets of the Beau Chêne subdivision. The 1 mile course includes both street running and cross country running on Beau Chêne Country Club's Oak Golf Course.

City insight: Mandeville
Mandeville is a city in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, directly across the lake from New Orleans. Founded in 1834 and incorporated in 1840, it had 13,192 residents at the 2020 census. The Gulf Coast climate is hot and very humid from May to September, so the cooler months from October to April are the best seasons to race.
