47th Iroquois Hill Runners Thanksgiving Day Run
About the race
Louisville's traditional Thanksgiving Day run takes place in Iroquois Park with three events: a 5 Mile Run/Walk (course preview), a 5K with Stuffing Run/Walk (5K preview), and a 1.25 Mile Run/Walk.
Start times are 9:00 AM for the 5 Mile Run/Walk, 9:05 AM for the 5K with stuffing, and 9:10 AM for the 1.25 Mile Run/Walk. The roadways are open to allow access to the golf course, so use the pedestrian path on the back side of the park.

Costume contest
Put your creativity to work and wear a costume. Turkeys, unicorns, pies and ugly sweaters are welcome.
Entry fees
- $35 early sign up: online before October 15. Register by October 15 and pick up early to guarantee shirt size. Shirt size cannot be guaranteed for race day packet pickup.
- $40 after October 15: online before November 15.
- $45 after November 15: online before the start of the race.
Packet pickup
Packet pickup is Tuesday and Wednesday, November 25 and 26, Thanksgiving week, at Swag's South End Store (Swag's Sport Shoes, south end location), open 11 AM to 6 PM. Race day pickup is also available on site, although early pickup is highly encouraged.

Closes 15 minutes before the 5 Mile start at 9:00 AM.
Parking
Parking is limited in the Iroquois Amphitheater Lot during the event. Do not drive or park on grass areas in Iroquois Park.
Overflow parking is available at Colonial Gardens, 818 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214, and DeSales High School, 425 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214. Both are a short walk to the start and finish line.

5 Mile Run awards
- Male/Female
- Overall cash award: 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50
Prizes will be awarded at 10:30 AM at the DJ booth. You must be present to win.
Other awards
All other awards are gift certificates to Swag's. They can be picked up December 2 to December 13 at Swag's South Store.
- Age group (3 deep, Male/Female, in 5 year brackets from 14 and under to 75 and older): 1st $20, 2nd $15, 3rd $10
- Eugene Baker Memorial Award, oldest male/female runner: $50
- First stroller: $20 (must begin behind runners)
- No awards for the 5K or 1.25 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Pets
Pets are allowed on the race course. For safety, all pets must be leashed. Runners with pets must start at the back of the runners and stay on the right side of the road.
