Together this Thanksgiving, we can fight hunger, fight homelessness, and foster hope. Since 2004, this Thanksgiving morning tradition has drawn participants from across South Central Maryland and beyond.
Each year, runners and walkers of all ages come out in the sun or rain, mild or cold, to support Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services, Inc. (LARS). The event raises money to help our neighbors fend off hunger, combat homelessness and achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Laurel is a city and the second county seat of Jones County in Mississippi, USA, with a population of 17,161 at the 2020 census. It is home to the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, Mississippi's oldest art museum. The humid subtropical climate brings long, hot summers and mild winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
