Laramie is a city and the county seat of Albany County in southeastern Wyoming, known for its high elevation of 7,200 feet and as the home of the University of Wyoming. It sits on the Laramie River, west of Cheyenne. The climate is semi-arid and high-altitude, with cold winters, so late spring, summer, and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
