United Way of Fairfield County Annual 5K Run
About the race
Since 1997, the United Way 5K Run/Walk has been a community favorite. This event brings several hundred participants annually to the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster.
It is a closed 5K course. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers for the 5K.
The traveling Participation Trophy is awarded to the company with the largest number of participants (either walk or run) based on company size. It is a great opportunity to bring people together.
Food drive for Weekend Backpack program
This year, United Way of Fairfield County will also host a Food Drive for its Weekend Backpack program, collecting donations of granola bars, trail mix, cereals, fruits, and applesauce.
