Lafayette Hill is an unincorporated community mainly within Whitemarsh Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia's Chestnut Hill neighborhood. It takes its name from the Marquis de Lafayette, who camped there with his soldiers during the American Revolution, and was also known historically as Barren Hill. The area has warm summers and cold winters, so late spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
