Jonesboro is one of two county seats of Craighead County in northeastern Arkansas and sits on Crowley's Ridge. It is home to Arkansas State University and serves as the cultural and economic center of the region. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
