Dark 2 Dawn Night Trail Races
About the race
In an effort to improve diversity in trail racing and remove a potential barrier for the under-served and under-represented, the Trail Mix Fund pays the race registration fee for runners who cannot afford it or aren’t sure they belong in the sport.
We also believe that there are more BIPOC & LGBTQ+ people who would like to race and would enjoy being part of the community but aren’t comfortable taking that step of signing up to race. Waiving the registration fee alone won’t solve this problem, but maybe it can help some.
Aid stations
There is 1 aid station at the start/finish, supplied with water, electrolyte drinks, gels, snacks and first aid. Restrooms are available at the start/finish.
Everyone must run with a handheld or hydration vest.
Swag, medals and awards
Deadline for guaranteed swag with your registration: May 9, 2027. All registrations made past the swag order deadline will receive an alternative swag.
Included in online race registration fees
- Cotton/poly blend lifestyle t-shirt, S/S, gender specific sizes, or opt out of swag and plant a tree
- Overnight camping at ICCP
- Custom finisher medal
Medals and awards
Awards are given for the top male, female and non-binary performers only in the 10K, 6 hours and 9 hours timed events, based on the number of loops finished and the time taken.
All finishers receive a custom finisher medal based on the number of loops completed within the timed events.
- 6 hours: 20.1 miles, 3 loops
- 9 hours: 26.8 miles, 4 loops
50K Mashup runners must complete 5 loops to count towards their series races.
All medals and awards must be picked up by runners as they finish. We will not mail swag, medals or awards.

This race is presented by Terrain Trail Runners.
Terrain Trail Runners-STL's partnership with the Trail Mix Fund began in December 2025.
Race day registration
We will be offering race day/onsite registration. Race day/onsite registration will begin at 8PM on June 5, 2027.
Swag only if sizes are available for race day registrations. Cash only. Swag is not guaranteed for race day registrations.

The course
10K
9hrs
6hrs
The 10K, 6 hour and 9 hour races run at the same time on the Indian Camp Creek Park loop. The 10K is one loop, while the timed races count the loops a runner completes in the time given. The terrain is mainly dirt with some rock, with open-field crossings and wooded singletrack, and is flat to rolling hills. It is a trail race, so the loop length is approximate.

Foristell is a city in St. Charles and Warren counties in Missouri, located about 43 miles west of St. Louis, with a 2020 census population of 550. The region has hot, humid summers and cold winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
