The Fall 2026 rendition of the Girls on the Run 5K will return to Wright State University.
Girls on the Run is a program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Girls on the Run strives for a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Our participants traditionally run alongside an adult Running Buddy, who provides one-on-one support and encouragement as she takes on a great challenge.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
This year we are continuing our kiddie Fun Run. The half-mile fun run will start and finish at the same start finish line as the 5K, beginning at 12:30pm. It will not be timed, but the clock will run so participants can see their time. It is open to anyone not quite ready for the entire 5K, and is a great opportunity for younger siblings and friends.
Fairborn is a city in Greene County in southwestern Ohio and a suburb of Dayton within the Dayton metropolitan area. Its population was 34,620 at the 2020 census, and it is the only city in the world with this name. The climate is humid continental, with cold snowy winters and warm, humid summers, so spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
