Join us to raise awareness, support and advocacy for the proposed Bonita Estero Rail Trail (BERT).
The proposed Bonita Estero Rail Trail (BERT) will run from just south of the Lee Collier County border to Alico Road along the 14.9-mile unused rail corridor through downtown Bonita Springs and Estero, ending just north of San Carlos Park at Alico Road. BERT will connect to the John Yarborough Trail to the north and the Paradise Coast Trail to the south.
The proceeds of this event will benefit the Bonita Estero Rail Trail. Its construction is poised to significantly benefit the local community by promoting sustainable transportation, encouraging physical activity, and providing a scenic route for residents and visitors alike.
Whether you are an avid cyclist, a supporter of local initiatives, or simply looking for a fun-filled day, the Ride for BERT offers something for everyone.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
Two rides are offered, a 15-mile ride and a 30-mile ride, both through the local community. The 30-mile route has a rest stop with food and water. Coconut Point Mall vendors will set up stations along the way and provide food after the ride.
