City insight: Edinburg
Edinburg is the county seat of Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas and is home to the main campus of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Its population was 100,243 at the 2020 census. The climate is hot and subtropical for much of the year, so the milder winter and early spring months are the best time to race.
