About the race
Local farmers are the backbone of our communities. They grow fresh, nutritious food, preserve open space, protect soil and water resources, and keep our rural economies thriving.
Yet small farms in Indiana and Cambria counties are vanishing at an alarming rate.
The Thank a Farmer Dash lets you support local farmers, whether you run, walk, or stroll. All proceeds benefit the Cambria/Indiana Farmer Fund at the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
Thanks to past participants and donors, $9,000 in grants has already been awarded to farmers in Indiana and Cambria counties.
The fund provides small grants to support business planning for sustainable, profitable farming models, match funding for conservation-focused projects, and implementation of best management practices on small farms.

Prizes
Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers (male and female) in each race category.
Cancellation policy
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
