POUND The PAVEMENT For Pilot Club of Denham Springs 5K & Fun Run
About the race
The Pilot Club of Denham Springs invites you to be a part of Pound the Pavement for Pilot 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run.
Our mission is to transform communities by developing youth, providing service, education and uplifting families.
Pilots focus on providing projects and services which help those with special needs and brain related disorders. Our event kicks off at 8am, rain or shine, with the 1 Mile Fun Run followed by the 5K.
Age Groups
Projects funded by proceeds
Proceeds from our events are used to fund projects such as:
- “Challengers” ballfield for children with special needs
- Mighty Moms
- Assess the Need
- Fans for the elderly through Livingston Parish Council on Aging
- Denham Springs High Project Graduation
- Louisiana Association for Challenged Adults, Inc
- Honoring veterans at nursing homes on Veteran’s Day
- Sponsoring DSHS Anchor Club
- Brain-Minders puppet show for youths
- Yearly Pilot Club scholarship for a DSHS graduate
- PAES Labs for special needs students at three area schools
The Pilots are always looking for ways to help others and our community. Your support goes to help continue these most worthy projects.

Packet pickup
Pickup will be available:
- Friday, November 13 from 3 - 5:30 pm at Covington & Associates, 1110 S. Range Ave.
- At the race, from 7 - 8 am
Awards and age groups
Awards will be given 3 deep in all age groups:
- Overall Male and Female
- Masters (40 - 49) Male & Female
- Grand Masters (50 & over) Male & Female
Fun Run awards will be given to:
- Top 3 runners ages 12 & under
5K age groups:
- 10 & Under
- 11-12
- 13-14
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60 & up
Cancellation policy
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.

Denham Springs is a city in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, and is the largest area of commercial and residential development in the parish. It had 9,286 residents at the 2020 census and was once known as Amite Springs and Hill's Springs. Summers here are very hot and humid, so October through April is the best time to race.
