The race starts at the field next to the Senior Center. After entering the park, keep driving past the library, and you will see the Senior Center straight ahead and the starting line just to the left of it.
We have the right to hold any runner from continuing if they are deemed medically unsafe to do so. Every runner should be aware of their own limitations and should not push themselves to the point of serious injury or illness.
We do not have medical professionals present at the race location. Basic first aid can be provided; any further medical treatment will be requested from local EMS services.

All races start at 8am and all races close at noon. We will ensure all participants make it safely off the course before race staff depart from the venue.
This race has a rolling start, meaning you can start any time after 8am as long as you are done by noon.
The kid's race is often run in a rolling start format, and a parent often accompanies their child on the 1 mile loop.
Because of the rolling start, you MUST pass through the start (when you start) and finish line (when you finish) so your timing chip records your time properly.
Participants will be timed using our Orbiter timing system. Results will be visible live at our timing table and will later be posted within a couple of days after the event.
Participants must have their timing chip on them for the entirety of the race to receive accurate results. Only walk through the start/finish line when starting, finishing, or going out for another lap (4 hour runners).
The F.I.T. Turkey Trot is part of the TrailFecta series, which includes F.I.T. Frills on 11/1 and a holiday theme race on 12/12.

The course is a trail route through the park. The kids race follows yellow flags and arrows and includes one crosswalk near the park entrance. The 5K follows green flags and arrows and separates from the longer runners on course. The longer race follows red flags and arrows and is the most technical of the three races, with rocky sections, hills and winding trails.
