Columbus is a consolidated city-county on the Chattahoochee River in west-central Georgia, directly across from Phenix City, Alabama, and the county seat of Muscogee County. It is the second most populous city in Georgia after Atlanta, with 206,922 residents at the 2020 census. Summers are hot and humid with mild winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. To avoid tripping at the start line, we recommend anyone with a dog starts after the main group has begun.
Strollers are allowed.
