About the race
Join us at Goose Gossage Park in Colorado Springs, CO, for the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon, a race dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served our country.
Whether you are running in tribute, alongside a veteran, or as a veteran yourself, this event is a way to show gratitude and community support.
All participants receive a custom finisher medal upon crossing the finish line.
Race shirts
Race shirt will have to be purchased at time of registration if you would like one.
Sleep in on race morning! Get your bib and shirt mailed to you before the race.
Awards
Awards go to the top three male and female overall finishers in each distance, and to the top three Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters male and female finishers. The top three athletes in each five-year age group (starting at 10 & Under) also receive awards across all race distances.
Veteran and Active Duty entry rules
All veterans race for free, and Active Duty military can participate for $15. Family members and supporters join at the regular registration rate.
ID required: any form of government-issued military ID.
A form of Veteran ID will need to shown at registration/bib pick up.

Cancellation policy
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.

It sits near the base of Pikes Peak and stands more than a mile above sea level, with 478,961 residents at the 2020 census. Summers are mild and sunny at altitude and winters are cold, so late spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
