With 2 days of running, make it a family weekend!
This is a premier Evergreen Trail Run. It's so good you might even want to run it every year! No matter the distance you choose, you'll enjoy endless views towards Lake Chelan and a landscape painted purple and yellow with fields of lupine and balsam root.
The winding, nicely graded trails go on endlessly through the ponderosa pine forests. Make it a weekend in the pristine wine country of Lake Chelan and enjoy a retreat from everyday life while you enjoy the sunshine.
You can camp pre- and post-race. Take this time to reboot, decompress from technology, and reflect on the training you have done. Come and share an amazing weekend with us; you will head back to work Monday full of heart and strength of mind.
The 1-mile kids' race, camping, and location make it ideal for families, while the 50K is a great course for a first-time 50K runner or someone wanting to set a 50K PR time.
Evergreen Trail Runs was founded in 2010 by Roger Michel and Yumay Chang, who had a vision to create a series of trail races around Washington state. Evergreen Trail Runs continues today as a sister brand to Orca Running, a locally-owned race production company.
We look forward to continuing Roger and Yumay's vision for many years to come with a dedication to sustainable race organizing.
Most race costs are non-refundable; no refunds for races. Cancelled or rescheduled races are not refunded. Defer or switch requests must be sent before the Friday of race week (before Thursday at 11:59pm). Transfers can be made up until the start time on race day. Fees apply to all options.
The course is a single loop for all distances. From the base of the Echo Valley ski area, all distances start down the main road and then take a left onto the climbing single track. After the initial long climb, the trails offer views of the Chelan Valley and gentle rolling single track. The 10K descends back to the Echo Valley ski area on the Bergman Gulch Trail, while the Half and 50K runners continue through the ponderosa pine forest and lupine fields and finish with the descent down Waterbar Heaven.
Chelan is a city in Chelan County, Washington, sitting at the southeast tip of Lake Chelan where the lake flows into the Chelan River, and it is part of the Wenatchee-East Wenatchee metropolitan area. The climate is warm and dry in summer with cold winters, so late spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
