City insight: Charleston
Charleston is a city and the county seat of Coles County in Illinois, USA, and is home to Eastern Illinois University. It has close ties with its neighbor Mattoon, and the two are principal cities of the Charleston–Mattoon Micropolitan Statistical Area. Summers are hot and humid while winters are cold, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
