Welcome to The Ruff. The only race that runs up Dog Mountain in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
It is a chance for you to test your lungs by running straight up to the summit of Dog Mountain and then testing your quads by bombing down to the finish. You will have beautiful views of the Columbia River below, Mt Hood to the south and Mt St. Helens to the west.
This is my favorite trail to run anywhere. You feel like you are high up in the Colorado mountains but get the benefit of thicker air to breathe!
Beer will be provided by Ninkasi Brewing Company! Will also have pizza provided by Backwoods Brewing Company.
8AM to 9:45 AM morning of race at the Dog Mtn Trailhead. Please try to carpool to the start at Dog Mountain Trailhead if possible as there is limited parking.

Carson is a census-designated place in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, north of the Columbia River in Skamania County, in southwestern Washington. The gorge has dry, warm summers and wet, mild winters, so late spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
