Katie Welling Memorial 2.5 Mile Run/Walk
About the race
The 2026 Katie Welling Memorial Run/Walk will be an in-person event on the morning of Saturday, November 28, with a virtual option available from November 15 through 30.
Katie, a 2002 BHS graduate, died in an off-campus fire at Miami University in Ohio in 2005. Her friends organized the annual Katie Welling Memorial Run/Walk because togetherness helps us heal and the memory of Katie keeps us all connected with her.
We also remember Tom Welling, Katie's father, who passed away in 2022. Tom led us in planning this special event for fifteen years and was an incredible friend and asset to the Bronxville community.
All proceeds from Katie's Run/Walk will benefit the Bronxville School Foundation, whose mission is to enhance the quality of the education at the Bronxville School where Katie spent so many happy years.
Race day check-in and start
Participants will meet at the front of the Bronxville School, 177 Pondfield Rd. Check-in will be open from 8 to 8:45 AM, and the race will start at 9 AM.
Virtual participation
You may also participate virtually by running, walking or biking any time from November 15 through 30. Walking or running on a treadmill or riding on a stationary bike at home are also great ways to participate.
There is no registration fee to participate virtually, but a tax-deductible contribution would be welcomed.
Online registration for virtual participation closes at noon on Wednesday, November 25.

Bib pickup
If you have registered online, you may pick up your bib on the following days:
- Friday, November 27, between 10 AM and 3 PM at Fleet Feet, 52 Pondfield Rd, Bronxville, NY
- Saturday, November 28, between 8 AM and 8:45 AM at the front entrance of the Bronxville School, 177 Pondfield Rd., Bronxville, NY

Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
