We are excited to bring a Turkey Trot event to Boise for 2026. Guidelines will be the same as prior years, so please note the specific dates in order to qualify for a complimentary race entry.
Two weeks before Thanksgiving in 2011, we decided to give back to all the participants who raced with us over the course of the year. Thanksgiving morning seemed the perfect time, and a FREE race is the perfect way to say thanks.
The Early Bird Race is back this year. Everything will be the same as Thanksgiving Day, but you can race on Saturday, November 21st at Ann Morrison Park in Boise.
If you haven't crossed under our finish line this year, you can still join us. Entry is $22 ($25 race day), in-person or virtual.
If you crossed under our finish line in any race from Dec. 1, 2025 to Nov. 14, 2026, you have earned a FREE spot in ONE of the in-person Turkey Trot races. Running one of our Turkey Trots last year does NOT qualify for a free entry.
Athletes can cancel their registration, but no refund is given.
Refunds are not allowed for this race.
Boise is the capital of Idaho, with a greenbelt along the Boise River and trails in the foothills right at the edge of the city, and a very active outdoor culture. The climate is semi-arid: summers (June to August) are hot and dry, autumn is mild and colourful, winters (December to February) are cold with some snow, and spring is changeable. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for racing, with cool, clear mornings. Boise Airport serves the city.
