Get ready to conquer the slopes at Tussey Mountain's King and Queen of the Mountain race. We have a new format for 2026: we are keeping the one-mile course and adding the one-hour endurance race.
Runners will battle it out under the lights up and down the slopes for a chance to be crowned royalty and to win great prizes, including coveted season passes. This thrilling uphill and downhill challenge is part of Ullr Fest, our celebration of all things winter, with extra prizes awarded for the best costumes.
Whether you dress as a Nordic noble, a mystical mountain creature, or a daring jester, you'll have a chance to win day passes and exclusive perks. The race kicks off Ullr Fest in legendary style.

Tussey Mountain Ski Resort and Nittany Multisport Inc, the event organizers of Tussey Mountainback 50 Mile Ultra & Relay, present the 2026 edition of King & Queen of Tussey Mountain.
Boalsburg is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Harris Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, and it is part of the State College metropolitan area. The village claims to be the birthplace of Memorial Day, though a 2014 book by Bellware and Gardiner questioned that claim. Summers are warm and humid and winters are cold with snow, so late spring and early autumn are the best seasons to race.
