Aid stations and finish
Aid will be available at the Lookout Trailhead, at approximately mile 3 and mile 8. There will be water, snacks, cold beer and a food truck at the finish!
Parking
There will be NO parking for this event at Lookout Brewing. There are several free public parking lots in downtown Black Mountain within 2-3 blocks of the venue, as well as available parking behind Black Mountain Primary School. The parking lot at Lookout will be used as a Start/Finish area, so there needs to be space for a timing tent, food truck, and finishers having beers.

Cancellation policy
There will be no transfer of entry fees or refunds given after January 1, 2027. After that, there will be NO refunds – NO transfers – NO exceptions.
The course
The race is an out and back from Lookout Brewing Company in Black Mountain to the Lookout trailhead. From there, runners follow a trail route up and over Lookout Mountain. After the trail loop, runners return to the finish at Lookout. The course combines fast road racing with technical trail running.

Black Mountain is a town in Buncombe County, North Carolina, at the southern end of the Black Mountain range of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Southern Appalachians. It is part of the Asheville metropolitan area and had 8,426 residents at the 2020 census. At about 35.6 degrees north, the climate is humid subtropical with warm, humid summers and cool winters, so spring and autumn are the best seasons to race.
